One of the biggest challenge towards provision of healthcare in sub-sahara Africa(amongst others), is early identification of potentially debililating diseases. Subjects often present at the late stages of the disease, leaving the physician a herculean task of managing the seguel of a sometimes decade-long of a disease processes.
Most often, patients are lost under these circumstances and it becomes an unpleasant burden upon patient family and healthcare providers.
It is in light of these circumstances that FirstCare Hospital wishes to take a front roll in providing preventive healthcare services to its clients through the organisation of health screening programmes.
This will serve as a blueprint towards identifying disease processes at their early stages and offering the best interventional modalities to keep the public informed about their health states.
This year, the screening programme was organised in some second cycle institutions in the kumasi metropolis. These institution include;
OPOKU WARE SECONDARY SCHOOL
YAA ASANTEWAA GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL
KUMASI SECONDARY TECHNICAL SCHOOL
ST. HUBERT SEMINARY SECONDARY SCHOOL
TECHNOLOGY SECONDARY SCHOOL
ISLAMIC SECONDARY SCHOOL
The institution have been under management for the past four(4) years to complete governments efforts towards bringing healthcare closer to the people.
